ITINERARY:
DAY 1: HANOI - LAN HA BAY - TRA BAU (-/LUNCH/DINNER)
09.00 At your hotel lobby, the driver will to collect you and transfer you eastwards to Got Harbour.
12:00 At Got Harbour, we rest up before boarding the V’Spirit Premier Cruise, where the staff will welcome us warmly before presenting us with welcome drinks.
13:00 The captain begins our sailing into the evocative world of Lan Ha Bay as we watch through the dining room windows. A wonderful lunch will be served here while we cruise.
15:15 We make our first stop at the quiet area of Tra Bau, where we have the opportunity to kayak and swim in the shadows of limestone towers stretching high above.
17:00 There will be an inviting happy hour back aboard the V’Spirit Premier Cruise as the sun begins to set over the bay. Our chef will run a fun and engaging cooking class in Lan Ha’s fading red light.
19:00 We will have dinner to the beautiful sounds of traditional Vietnamese music tonight, all before free time at your leisure. Feel free to head out with the crew to try squid fishing on the tender boat, or head to the bar for social drinks before bed.
DAY 2: LAN HA BAY - VIET HAI VILLAGE - BA HAM LAKE (BREAKFAST/LUNCH/DINNER)
06:30 For the early risers amongst our passengers, we will be holding a tai chi session on the sundeck. Join our onboard tai chi teacher as they take you through the basic steps.
07:15 An excellent breakfast served in the dining room will come before you board the day boat and head over to Cat Ba Island.
09:00 In the secluded eastern area of Cat Ba, we find the village of Viet Hai. We will take a walking tour around the gorgeous village and its attractively wild borders. After this, we take bicycles around the rainforest and rice fields of the local farmers.
12:00 Once we get back to the day boat, we have a beautiful lunch while floating serenely on the water.
13:30 Our next area is Ba Ham lake, which is only accessible through a cave-like tunnel leading to the fully enclosed and shimmering body of water on the other side. We will take advantage of the tranquility here to kayak and swim in the remarkable quietness.
16:00 After a relaxing time on the day boat, we rejoin the V’Spirit Premier Cruise and head back to our enchanting overnight area while happy hour begins again.
19:00 Dinner will be yet another delicious offering from the chef. Take the evening as you like afterwards, perhaps this is by playing board games, opting for a massage treatment or simply relaxing back in the cabin.
DAY 3: LAN HA BAY - DARK & BRIGHT CAVES - HANOI (BREAKFAST/LUNCH/-)
06:00 There will be another tai chi session on the sundeck, giving you another chance to learn the basics of this martial art in the new light of Lan Ha Bay.
07:00 Head downstairs after this to enjoy the light breakfast that will be laid out in the dining room.
08:15 We board sturdy rowing boats and head out with the locals to the Dark & Bright Caves, where we can explore a small cave system and a gorgeous segregated world on the other side, complete with tree-clad cliffs and the langurs that are sometimes seen here.
10:30 We board the V’Spirit Premier Cruise for the last time and enjoy a lavish and delicious lunch served to us in buffet form.
12:00 Step off the ship and onto the bus that will take us back to Hanoi.
